The new Bowers 3D audio system

British audio company Bowers

The car was unveiled last week and now we know more about its N system

The patented generation formula, such as aluminum double-dome tweeters, midrange Continuum speaker units, and engaged 3D speakers in the car’s headliner to create surround sound, as well as a subwoofer for additional bass.

Working intensively with Aston Martin to create a sound formula designed especially for the DB12’s cockpit, Bowers

There are also five 100mm midrange Continuum drivers, located near the tweeters and providing what Aston Martin describes as “a huge step forward in midrange speaker functionality”. A cleaner midrange sound is created through a woven composite structure that is muffled. to absorb unwanted resonances. Depending on the company, this produces sharper midrange functionality and a more open, unbiased sound.

Finally, the formula uses a tweeter design at the top, where the tweeter is separated from the rest of the speaker. This helps to decrease the reflected acoustic image of the windshield by diffusing the sound directly to the driver and passenger. The DB12’s formula includes 3 tweeters placed above the dashboard.

Scheduled for later this year, the DB12 is the successor to the DB11. Described by Aston Martin as a “super tourer”, the new car is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine, and the exterior resembles the outgoing car, the interior is new logo. There’s a new touchscreen infotainment formula with wireless smartphone connectivity, a virtual driver demo and the promise of over-the-air software updates.

Aston Martin is the first British car manufacturer to work with Bowers
