We don’t like it any more than you do, honestly. We are desperate to see the new BMW M3 and M4 stripped of any disguise and freed from the limits of testing. Until then, the new car’s progressive striptease continues, with a start still planned for next month and camouflage is being removed.
These photographs, as was probably said last time, are our most productive look to date; Interestingly, it was only the 4-door M3 that was photographed, where past photographs were more focused on the two-door M4. With the missing door costume, we can see one of BMW’s ‘frozen’ matte paint finishes, the blue resembles that of the old M3 CS. It is also worth noting the new rear doors of the M car, there to accommodate the blistered arches and the widest track that have become a trademark of the F80 M3 and deserve to continue on it. From behind, there is much to animate; those arches mingle with the taillights to accentuate the width, and the 4 exhausts leave no doubt about what this 3 Series is. But the back end was never the problem…
Although the grille and auxiliary front component are still secret, in fact it will not be imaginable to confuse the M3 with anything other than perhaps a Series 7. The fact that the license plate is kept with straps also does BMW no favor. I hope he paints better in person, without disguise and in production specifications. Because there hasn’t been a bad M3 or M4 for 35 years, and no one needs this to be the beginning.
Of course, a BMW M car is much more than it seems, the possible challenge BMW has with this latest pair is this whole M3 heritage. They have combined a smart stylus with a dynamic emotion and a perfect engine to set the popular for sports sedans. The festival is so talented, see the newer Giulia Quadrifoglio and AMG C63, that nothing less than excellence in all spaces will suffice. Not long before we found out.

UPDATE, 07/07/20: Since we’re in July, this means the new BMW M3 and M4 will debut the following month. Which is exciting, considering everything, given that there hasn’t been much in the automotive world to inspire recently. And, you know, there’s been one or two half-decent M cars over the years…
Today’s update, and you can expect more, even at the end of September, is to make public the G80/82 and its respective snouts. Of course, no one may overlook them if they rate it on the road, the license plate crossed by the grille and the sliding finish headlights that make BMW’s assault. Also noteworthy is the four-door M3 with the treatment of the grille; We only experienced all four Series with its debatable face, while the popular 3 Series was introduced with a more traditional look. It will be attractive to see how the two compare, especially since the normal G20 3 series is sometimes considered a fairly sedan (unless it’s the Mfour Grand Coupé we see here, of course).
Where there will actually be less debate is in the design of the back, of which only the M4 is noticed here. There are 4 branded tubes, larger bumpers that exaggerate the rear axle, lighting fixtures that are wrapped to further accentuate the width and a small fin incorporated into the trunk. As long as it’s still a prototype in disguise and everyone’s still obsessed with the front, this M4 looks pretty smart since the third quarterback. Please note that this car is supplied with Michelin tyres (the previous style had a traditional Super Sport compound, so it is still possible), the gold stirrups designing ceramic brakes and an alloy rim design encouraged through the M8 competition.
And if we can say more about new cars than that, then you’re a better spy detective than any of us. Without a doubt, the fully exposed interior photo will soon leak, and perhaps also a photo of the engine compartment. And you can be sure we’ll let you know! Those who do not like BMW M cars may have to sail somewhere else in the run-up to September…

ORIGINAL STORY, TELLE WHAT REPORT 06/06/2020: It is difficult to overestimate the importance of a BMW M3 two-door in PH, given its popularity in all avenues of the site. So, when there’s a new Mfour about to come out, based on a four series that’s earned, how to say it, the most productive ice cream, it becomes quite news. Even if the news is a grainy symbol of Reddit.
This solitary shot is the first time we have seen a complete G22 Mfour without disguise. Not surprisingly, there is a strong four Series influence on the M-car; In particular, he knows where, but also the design of the headlights; However, notice in this car a remodeled front bumper, with a separator that protrudes more than simplified vents in front of the wheels. In an M3/Mfour culture that now dates back to 2007 E92, there seems to be a slight bump on the hood at the maximum sensitive of the six-cylinder line and 3.0 liters, probably the two nostrils in every aspect of the cockroach that will attract maximum attention. It’s probably an aerodynamic device, it’s not clear yet.
Elsewhere, the design of the wheels is similar to that of the past M2, M3 and M4 Competition, the color is very reminiscent of the M4 CS Lime Rock Grey and the rear arches, like the F82 M4, do not seem at all – I hope that we give the M3 a rude appearance, because the portions of M4 are full in the series 3 (much more beautiful).
And, actually, that’s all you can say about a poorly lit photo of a car at night in front of a warehouse. We know you’ll use the S58 biturbo seen on the X3 M, we know it will be xDrive (with a rear-wheel drive style too) and we know there will be a manual option next to the DCT. I hope there will be presentable images, with this additional data highly sought after, later in 2020. We’ll be there as soon as there’s one!
