NEWS. . . BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
An Asda delivery van spotted in a box in Yorkshire and left others baffled.
The Mercedes van was photographed in a box surrounded by stone walls in Langcliffe, North Yorkshire, and appears to have been abandoned.
Social media users are wondering how the vehicle was delivered there, especially since there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to get to the site, which is surrounded by many fields.
Many joked that the driver was probably disappointed with his navigation system.
The truck appears to be stuck in a pothole with the right front tire stuck on the ground.
The photo was posted on social media with the caption: “When Adrian Mole receives a home delivery from Asda. “
Ben Smith went on to write: “To pass the mile, I salute you, driver.
Michael Uren joked, “I think he’ll get a new lamb. “
Clive Davies: “But GPS does. “
Lee James added: “You’ll charge more than the value of your Asda for a trailer. “
Julie Duncan wrote: “Did this go into the box through the parachute?”
An Asda spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, one of our cars got stuck in a rural area near Keighley, after taking the bend. The vehicle was safely recovered Thursday night.
Meanwhile, in Blackpool, Lancashire, locals taunted two motorists who were hit by waves after being trapped on the beach.
The footage showed the mutilated remains of a Peugeot 206 convertible and a Vauxhall Corsa, which were destroyed.
