It’s a car-travel season, and given the limitations the coronavirus pandemic has imposed on the circle of relatives traveling this summer in the United States, many others are contemplating taking the wheel rather than boarding a plane or cruise ship.
In recent years, I have tried many SUVs, so I think it would be useful to summarize the possible options of three rows and seven passengers at other levels of value, ranging from the economical to the expensive.
I opted for mazda, Subaru and Kia SUVs, and added a high-performance Porsche ute (no third row) and an all-electric Tesla (with a third row).
These SUVs combine versatility, decent fuel economy and shipping area for the perfect family transport circle. Also all have all the transmission, which is not entirely mandatory in summer, but is useful at other times of the year.
