An AUTOMOTIVE expert has shared his list of the five most interesting functionality cars coming in 2024.
Abigayle Aundre of She Talks Cars took to TikTok to get the audience excited about upcoming releases, with major manufacturers participating.
The new edition of the iconic muscle promises, according to Ford, “super strength with Mustang soul. “
It is supplied with a 5. 2-liter supercharged V8 with more than 800 horsepower and a dual-clutch transmission to produce “monster power. “
And that’s not the only thing that’s monstrous, with the price tag rumoured to be around £238,000 for a base model.
This old-fashioned Aston Martin, which travels at 350 km/h, owes its call to the paradise of Norse mythology, where Viking warriors passed if they died in war to drink, dine and fight for eternity.
The British logo aims to capture a bit of the same warrior spirit in its first hybrid supercar.
Using hybrid tech borrowed from super-EV manufacturer Rimac, the Valhalla boasts over 1,000 horsepower to add the bite to its sleek design, provided by legendary F1 engineer and designer Adrian Newey.
However, all this pedigree doesn’t come cheap, worth £580,000.
Mercedes has a strong track record of AMG internal corporate tuning to produce true road-legal beasts and the GT is no different.
The twin-turbo V8 doesn’t match the strength of the previous two versions, at just 577 horsepower, but it still has enough power to propel you down the road at a fairly fast pace.
Despite the disparity of forces, it will achieve 0-60 in just 0. 4 seconds slower than the Aston, with 2. 9 seconds to 2. 5 seconds for the Valhalla.
It’s not out of speed either, with a top speed of 196mph, all for a fraction of £140,000’s worth.
Another Brit on the list, the 750S, has been described by Abigayle as resembling “the 720S and 765LT that have had a problem”.
Like many of its rivals, it employs a suped-up V8, this time to grant 740 horsepower and a 206mph top speed.
Price-wise, it’s closer to the Mustang at £244,750.
The only all-electric offering of the genre, the Cyberster goes down quite a different route to many others on the list.
Instead of the traditional, smooth, curved carbon fiber design found in most supercars, MG has opted for a more extravagant touch with a matching sunroof and scissor doors.
Customers will be able to opt for the rear-wheel-drive single-engine variant with an expected output of 335 horsepower, or its big brother with 500-horsepower dual-motor all-wheel drive.
It is expected to charge between £50,000 and £60,000 and have a run of three hundred miles or more.
