WOODBRIDGE — The giant Sansone Auto grocery shopping center along Route 1 will expand by adding 16 service areas to one of its buildings.

Paul J. Sansone Sr., doing business as Route One Realty LLC, has applied to the Woodbridge Planning Board for approval to modify the use of its property at 90-100 Route 1 in the Avenel section.

The request will be heard at the Feb. 7 board meeting.

The plans call for the structure of a 9,246-square-foot one-story addition to the existing Jeep/Dodge structure for 16 service areas. The application also includes the installation of 8 vehicle charging stations.
