The Jeep Wrangler Tuscadero color is back for those who like to shine

Tuscadero pink returns as a color option for the updated 2024 Jeep Wrangler.

This muted color, which was first noticed on the 2021 Wrangler, is named after the character Pinky Tuscadero from the 1970s sitcom “Happy Days. “It’s one of many limited-edition colors that Jeep introduced at the time and proved popular. About 30,000 consumers asked for it when it first became available, Bill Peffer, Jeep’s North American brand director, said in a statement.

The pink hue now returns as an option at $895, up from $395 in 2021. It’s available on the Wrangler Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and the 392 Rubicon V-8, which will be gone. After 2024, Jeep is also touting a Rubicon 392 Final Edition to mark the finish of this model, which would likely be a long-term collector’s item if commissioned from Tuscadero.

First of all, the Tuscadero will be available with a black hardtop, a body-coloured hardtop, or a black padded roof. It will also be available with Jeep’s Sky One-Touch hardtop from the second quarter of this year.

Jeep is offering 8 colors for the Wrangler for 2024, adding Anvil, Earl, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Hydro Blue, Bright White, and base black.

The Wrangler lineup got some updates for the 2024 design year, adding a new infotainment system, popular side airbags, and some mechanical tweaks to the off-road capabilities. The JL-generation Wrangler dates back to the 2018 design year, but is rarely expected to be replaced until 2028, when the next-generation J70 Wrangler arrives exclusively with plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains.

Jeep hasn’t shown whether the interior will offer a Tuscadero leather option.
