The Jeep van will be called Gladiator, Scrambler

The rumor of a new Jeep pickup truck is no longer a rumor, but a news story shown. Since then, the call of this vehicle has been widely regarded as Scrambler. A logical choice, this, because it will pay homage to the CJ-8 Scrambler edition sold in the 1980s.

New data published on the FCA Group media site (Fiat Chrysler Automobile) have taken a look at observers. The treatment is a reference to the Jeep Gladiator 2020 and we saw it for the first time, ironically, through an eagle-eyed member of a forum committed to the Jeep… Scrambler. The FCA message has been removed, but once the cat is out of the bag, luck to get it back.

This forum committed to the long-term Jeep pickup will replace your name, of course, but in the meantime continues to provide more details, such as the number of versions and their designations. The new Gladiator, as we already know, will be presented in the Sport, Overland and Rubicon variants. This does not mean that other versions will be added to the product offering once the models come to market, in fact, we expect some to do so.

Initially, the Gladiator will be sold as a four-door model.

As for the “new” call, those familiar with the Jeep logo and its beyond, will want the Gladiator designation to make its first appearance in a variant of the Wagoneer. Logically, the call would have been more suitable for an edition of the Grand Cherokee, but whatever it is, what counts is the old reference.

The Gladiator (assuming this time is the call that chose the jeep), will make his official public appearance in Los Angeles in just over two weeks. The first models are expected to reach dealerships in early 2019. When it comes to costs, it’s hard to make predictions, other than saying it won’t show up at a low price.

Stay tuned for more highlights about this and all the other cars featured at the Los Angeles Motor Show starting November 28!
