Several new photographs of the Cadillac Optiq have surfaced in China, just ahead of the electric vehicle’s public debut at the Beijing Auto Show this month. These new images give us our first chance to see the cockpit of the Optiq.
Like the Cadillac Lyriq, the Optiq’s cabin houses a giant curved screen that supports the infotainment demonstration and virtual gauge cluster. It also features a thin air vent placed between the screen and a row of physical buttons for climate settings. The guide wheel and shapeshifters also look the same as the Lyriq.

The similarities continue in the center console, where there are two cup holders and a rotary dial for the display. Cadillac has replaced the design of the center armrest, making it a bit smaller. There’s also an open garage area for changing the weather, as opposed to Lyriq’s hidden garage zone.
The Optiq is based on the same BEV3 platform used for the Chevrolet Equinox EV and Buick Electra. Data from China shows that the SUV measures 189. 8 inches (4821 mm) long and has a wheelbase of 116. 3 inches (2954 mm), meaning it’s roughly similar in length to the XT5 but with an extra 3. 8 inches (97 mm) of extra life between the axles.
Cadillac will sell the new styling in single- and dual-engine configurations. The single-engine editions are expected to produce 201 hp and 241 hp, while the two-motor, all-wheel-drive edition can deliver an impressive 283 hp. .
While the automaker is introducing the Optiq in China, it will be sold in the U. S. and Canada. It will be available later this year. Local specs and major price points have not been announced, but are expected to be between the starting value of $34,995 for the Equinox EV and the MSRP of $57,195 for the larger Lyriq.
