The gunman threatens the workers at the Jefferson Park store and jumps into the back of the fleeing vehicle

Two workers at 7-Eleven, 5037 W. Lawrence Ave. , reported that a man threatened them with a gun between approximately 11:10 p. m. and 1:10 a. m. and 11:25 p. m. Thursday, April 4, according to District 16 Police (Jefferson Park).

Employees reported that a man and a woman entered the store and the man began filling a glass he had brought to the store with ice, according to police. One of the workers said he told the man he had to use a 7-Eleven cup. When the man lifted his shirt, he flashed a gun to his pants waistband and threatened to shoot him, police said.

The worker said he told the other worker to call 9-1-1, when the guy approached the other worker and also threatened to shoot him, according to police.

Employees reported that the woman told the man to get out of the store as workers were going to call police and that the man jumped over the bumper of a green Infiniti gaming app vehicle in an obvious attempt to hide the license plate, police said.

Employees reported that the woman was driving the vehicle and fled west toward Lawrence with the guy clinging to the back of the vehicle, according to police. A police camera at the intersection of Lawrence and Leclaire avenues captured footage of the guy who fell from the vehicle. at the intersection and the woman driving westbound in the pickup truck as the man ran north on Leclaire, police said.

The man described as white, in his 40s and between 6 and 0 years old, dressed in a soft blue jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers, according to police. The woman described as white, ages 30 to 32 and 5 to 4, dressed in a white sweater and blue jeans, police said.
