The roof molding is the F-150’s first hybrid powertrain. The PowerBoost consists of a 3.5-litre turbocharged engine, a 35 kilowatt electric motor and a 10-speed automatic transmission that, according to Ford, will provide torque in the sleek pickup truck and at least 12,000 pounds of towing capacity. Full specifications and fuel intake have not been announced, however, the hybrid is based on a 1.5 kilowatt-hour battery set under the bed that does not interfere with passenger or shipping space.
The PowerBoost becomes popular with a first built-in 2,400 watt generator that can supply on-site power and is available with a 7,200 watt unit. Both run on battery-only until their speed runs out, then use the gasoline engine to supply electrical power up to 85 hours from a full tank with the 2400 watt edition and 32 hours with the 7200 watt edition. Generators can operate while the vehicle is in motion to charge the loaded device on the transport platform. A 2000 watt generator will be optional on the F-150 with the traditional 2.7-liter, 3.5-liter turbo V6 engines or the 5.0-liter V8 that are still in the range, but not with the 3.3-liter base V6 or 3.0. . -turbodiesel V6.
To make life less difficult for owners who use their pickup as a cellular workspace, Ford has designed a center console with a folding shift lever and a forward-rotating armrest to become a flat surface, while Max Recline’s front seats are flat. On high-end ornaments, give them a position to take a nap. A Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless charging dock for smartphones, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless integration, four 8-inch and 12-inch Sync infotainment displays, and a virtual dashboard are available in a variety of configurations.
At the rear, the F-150’s tailgate has been remodeled into a multifunctional tool with integrated storage compartments and clamps, as well as holes for storing pens and pencils, beverages and electronic tablets. A 360-degree lighting set allows selective lighting around the truck at night. Fleet consumers can load a telematics program that can monitor the location, fuel consumption and maintenance wishes of vehicles. It will even inform the seat if someone is not dressed in a seat belt.
The F-150, which will come in 3 cab styles and six levels of equipment, is about to be the first Ford van to have the car manufacturer’s Active Assist Drive feature that uses sensors to allow hands-free driving on more than 100,000 kilometers of roads. A facial popularity formula confirms that the driving force is alert to the road and is in a position to recover it if necessary. The formula requires a hardware preparation package at the time of truck specification, but will not be activated until there is a live software update until the end of 2021.
Additional driving aids come with an intersection assistant that can identify and slow down approaching traffic by turning left and an automatic parking formula that can handle parallel and perpendicular parking when the driving force is in the vehicle.
More points and major costs for the F-150 2021 will be published closer to its sale this fall.
