The family-owned company has grown its fleet from a single truck to more than a hundred trucks.

The family-owned company Environmental Industries has come a long way since its inception in the 1980s, growing from a single company to a fleet of over a hundred trucks.

The Washington-based architecture and landscaping firm has built an impressive portfolio, ranging from large-scale state and government projects, such as playgrounds, parks, and sports fields, to advertising for land improvements and streetscapes.

Its fleet, which includes 40 Isuzu trucks, includes everything from light vehicles such as a recently acquired NLR 45-150 AMT Traypack with traditional tailgate, to the heavier FVZ 240-300 specified vehicles such as tanker and trash compactor.

Brendon Winterbourn, son of Environmental Industries founder Barry Winterbourn, is the company’s lead executive and said it will be bigger than ever by 2024.

“Our consumers, in particular, are looking for environments that other people and the public are excited to use. That’s why the sites we build we want to invite other people to enter the space,” he explained.

“We have completed many wonderful projects over the years, such as the grounds of Fiona Stanley Hospital, the Crown Towers in Perth, and Central Park in the CBD, to name a few.

“Things started to take off for the company in the early 2000s, at that time we had 4 trucks and a few vans on the road.

“We now have a combined fleet of around 100 vehicles, plus 40 Isuzu trucks, for our project staff. “

The sustained expansion of the business has led to an expansion of the appliance cabinets to meet demand.

Winterbourn shared the main points of a master plan underway with Major Motors Forrestfield and broker Peter Dewar to move all transport operations to the Isuzu Trucks product.

“We have a long-term plan with Major Motors to continue operating Isuzu trucks and continue to build the fleet to meet our needs.

“Consistency of visitor service and reliability is one of the reasons we keep coming back to Isuzu and Major Motors – we deal with the same user to build that long-lasting business relationship.

A big part of their strategy is upgrading their remaining vehicles to pickup trucks.

“The company is moving from commercial trucks to lightweight Isuzu trucks for a number of reasons: they have greater durability, we can have more compatibility with them in the rear, and we know they tow more than a used vehicle.

“Smaller trucks, like our NLRs, are best for having three crew members on a task who commute to the site with lawn mowers and lawn equipment loaded onto the bed.
