Eight crew members, plus two who were ejected from a vehicle, were taken to hospital after a twist of fate on the set of the movie “The Pickup,” the government said Thursday.

Georgia State Police said the other two deportees were seriously injured and a third user was seriously injured. The crash happened Saturday at a small airport outside Atlanta.

According to two other people with direct knowledge of the scenario and not legal to speak publicly, one user was still hospitalized Wednesday with a back injury. They said none of the actors in the film, starring Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer and Pete Davidson, were involved in the crash.

Video of the crash received via the New York Times shows an armored truck stopping next to an SUV before it begins. After the collision, the two vehicles left the road in tandem and headed toward the grass, where the armored truck overturned over the most sensitive part of the SUV. Both vehicles overturned completely and were left in an upright position but mutilated.

The video, a phone recording from a monitor playing footage of the crash, shows a user falling out of the armored truck when the rear door opens and the user lies limp inside the truck.

Police said the SUV, a BMW X5, had one occupant, the driver, and that seven people were traveling in the truck: a driver, a front passenger and five crew members who were strapped to the back with seat belts fastened to the walls.
