Jeep is an American SUV and truck manufacturer and a division of the European conglomerate Stellantis. The company began when Willys-Overland began producing civilian Jeeps, commonly abbreviated as “CJ”, after World War II. (The origin of the word “jeep” itself is murky. ) Willys gained the “Jeep” lopass in 1950 and merged with Kaiser Motors in 1953 to form Kaiser-Jeep. American Motors Corporation later bought this company in 1970, and then Chrysler bought AMC in 1987. Fiat Chrysler merged with the PSA Group to form Stellantis in 2021. The Gladiator is the midsize pickup truck based on Jeep’s Wrangler. It debuted as a new vehicle for the 2020 style year. The truck is intended to be a direct competitor to the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. It is expected to compete with the Taco and Wrangler for the most productive resale price of any used vehicle in the U. S. It is available in the U. S. , making it affordable to lease.
Jeep equips the Gladiator with two engine options, a 3. 6-liter V6 or a 3. 0-liter turbodiesel V6. Like the Wrangler, the Gladiator can have a six-speed manual transmission with the 3. 6-liter V6 engine. Unlike the Wrangler, Jeep itself won’t offer a hybrid or V8 version yet.

The Grand Cherokee is Jeep’s mid-size crossover SUV. It remains Jeep’s best-selling vehicle. And the fifth generation debuted for the 2022 style year. The Grand Cherokee can be supplied with either 4WD or front-wheel drive. Jeep ditched the 5. 7-liter Hemi V8, so the Grand Cherokee can be equipped with either a 3. 6-liter V6 or the 2. 0-liter inline four-cylinder PHEV.
Unlike the Wrangler, Gladiator, and Wagoneer, the Grand Cherokee uses a unibody crossover platform. But when supplied well in its Trail Rated form, it can still be a formidable all-rounder. Each version is available as a three-row L. style (see below), with the exception of the Trailhawk.

Jeep introduced the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee with the three-row Grand Cherokee L. It’s a rival to family SUVs like the Toyota Grand Highlander and Kia Telluride. The new two-row Grand Cherokee model will arrive later this year. The Grand Cherokee L seats six or seven passengers.
The Grand Cherokee L will still offer a 5. 7-liter V8 as an upgrade to the V6, but it won’t offer a 4xe plug-in hybrid.

The Wagoneer is Jeep’s new three-row luxury SUV, with a super-luxurious Grand Wagoneer trim designed to rival the Cadillac Escalade. Unlike the Grand Cherokee, the Wagoneer is a body-on-chassis truck attached to the Ram. Jeep 1500. Y pickup truck bed has designed its interior to be compatible with just about anything on the road.
The Wagoneer will have plenty of screens, high-tech and high-end finishes, as well as the McIntosh audio system. The Obsidian Series III Grand Wagoneer starts at $112,335. Does all this sound too much for a Jeep? Well, the idea of the Jeep is too. The cars do not carry any Jeep branding.

The Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L are the new extended-wheelbase versions of Wagoneer SUVs. They are a foot longer than general Wagoneers with a 7-inch longer wheelbase. Extended duration means approximately 42 cubic feet of third-row shipping area and up to 131 cubic feet of total shipping area.
The Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L were the first Jeep vehicles to feature the brand’s new Hurricane inline-six engine, available in popular and full-horsepower versions. The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L are not sold with V8 engines.

The Cherokee is a nameplate in Jeep history. The XJ generation (1984-2001) modernized the SUV with its unibody construction. This vehicle then spent two generations as the Liberty before Jeep renamed the fifth-generation compact crossover Cherokee.
Jeep will phase out the Cherokee after the 2023 design year. It’s still available in two versions: Altitude Lux and Trailhawk. All-wheel drive is now standard.

The Compass is Jeep’s least venerable compact crossover. It is shorter than the Cherokee; The seats are narrower, but offer more shipping capacity.
