If you’re watching a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, be relegated to the 1.5-liter turbo-four engine because the logo has left the optional 2.0-liter turbo-four on the menu.
Chevy told Roadshow that the maximum rugged engine would disappear for the 2021-style year, but added that we’ll see it in 2022 throughout the revamped Equinox. Without sharing additional details, a Chevy spokesman said it would be a “new” 2.0-liter engine. We don’t know what adjustments are taking up position for the plant. We know this has been a rather unpopular selection for buyers. The spokesman said the existing 2.0-liter engine accounted for only 10% of Equinox’s sales.
The Equinox soda has been a little confusing since the logo unveiled the car in February at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show, perhaps the only automatic display we’ll see this year, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. Originally the updated style was expected to reach dealerships this year as a 2021 style. But the parent automaker, General Motors, made his plans and said that instead we would see the updated crossover for sale in 2021 as a 2022 style.
This addition has also affected GM cars from the most sensitive to the bottom. The car manufacturer had demonstrated in the past with Roadshow that the existing pandemic had caused delays in models such as the Traverse, Bolt EV and Camaro. The Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra were also in the update activation stages, which can match their interiors to the new Tahoe and Yukon SUVs.
Instead, it looks like GM will have a busy 2021 calendar, as it will roll out those updates later.
