Cadillac has a new candidate for F1 2026 with former F1 driver Vitonio Liuzzi jokingly “ready” to interfere, more than a decade after leaving Formula 1.
Liuzzi, 44, made his Formula 1 debut in 2005, contesting 4 races with Red Bull before spending two full seasons with his junior team, Toro Rosso.
But he fell for the team after the 2007 season, a year spent a year before being withdrawn from the network through Force India to update the Giancarlo Fisichella in Ferrari.
Again, his stint was short-lived as the Italian was out at the end of 2010 before spending a year with the Hispania Racing team. That, though, is where his Formula 1 story ended.
Bouncing around various series, Liuzzi has of late settled into the role of an FIA steward. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t open to a comeback.
Now 44 years of age, Liuzzi has jokingly thrown his name into the ring for a 2026 Cadillac seat when the American team makes its Formula 1 debut.
“I’m open. I looked to send my CV, if you can help me with Andretti,” he said with a laugh on the F1 podcast from the inside line.
“I am ready. I am like Hulkenberg, who jumped to the groups and is now established. I’m ready, hunger is still there. “
Nico Hulkenberg is the maximum force of recent reason for F1 to make a return, however, unlike Liuzzi, he only sat 3 years and was a motor reserve force in this period, even through a handful of wonderful prices.

Cadillac will be the new Formula 1 team when it entered the game in 2026, the team pronouncing that it will run Ferrari engines until they build their own food units.
But as the team’s arrangements continue, a stranger are the names of the two drivers.
Mario Andretti, who will serve as a non -executive director on the Board of Directors, revealed that one will be American, while the other seat will go to a force of motive that already has experience. Colton Herta would run the race among American pilots.
“There are more pilots than groups at this time,” he said. “Ten groups seem a lot, but there are many more pilots and a lot of without exploiting talent.
“From our point of view, I think we are going to start with an experienced driver, nationality matters and a young American talent. These are the objectives at this time. »
