As the days get shorter and darker, our temperament may begin to decline along with the temperature. When you sit comfortably inside, it can be tricky to shut down your brain and relax.
Something that is helping other people relax is a relaxation podcast. Lie down, close your eyes, and listen to one of those relaxing podcasts to help your brain relax.
From mindfulness to engaging TED talks, there are plenty of podcasts to listen to that will help you calm down and feel inspired.

Soul Music is a cute BBC Radio 4 podcast. Each episode explores a song and what it means to other people around the world.
It examines the harsh and emotional effect music can have on people. It appears quite sporadically, but it is a very relaxing listening when it is. Try the Waterloo Sunset episode, focusing on The Kinks’ hit number. The recent episode Toto Africa’s version of the hit song is also a delight to listen to.

Have you ever heard of tapping? Otherwise, it is a holistic healing strategy on Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. It involves tapping with your fingertips on problems of quick finishing of the body, to calm the nervous formula and repair the energy balance.
Nick Ortner is credited with introducing tapping into the mainstream with his e-book The Tapping Solution: A Revolutionary System for Stress-Free Living. In addition to several e-books on the subject, there’s also The Tapping Solution podcast, which aims to brighten your day. and you live your most productive life.
Try to use tapping for optimal health as well as negative energy.

The Couragemakers podcast began through Meg Kissack of That Hummingbird Life. She started the podcast as a way to tell women about the exciting missions they are involved in and motivate others to take courage and decide on their own stories.
Recent episodes come with an interview with educator and poetics Christina Thatcher, and employ creativity to heal with Lily Calfee, a baker-turned-nutritionist.

ASMR, or Autonomic Sensory Meridian Response, is about ambient sounds, such as whispers, that other people find relaxing and relaxing.
This weekly podcast is designed to help other people fall asleep, based on ASMR triggers such as whispers, soft letters, and background noises, such as, only, driving an old Volvo car in Sweden (who would say?) desert winds. Useful for episodes of nocturnal insomnia.

If you’re interested in writing, and even if you’re not, Longform is a wonderful podcast to pay attention to. Each episode is an interview with a writer, whether it’s a journalist, author, or podcast host. The episodes focus on the stories they make, how they discovered them, how they dare to write, and it’s a wonderful time to pay attention on long exercise walks.
One episode to watch is an interview with Ben Taub, an interview for The New Yorker, who covered the war in Syria. It may sound painful, but it is very attractive to hear Taub’s attitude about all this.
It also helps that the 3 Longform hosts have voices that are a pleasure to pay attention to.

If you’re looking for intimate conversations with celebrities and comedians, you can head to Desert Island Discs, but there’s a concern that someone will come up with a song they can’t stand, which would ruin the Zen feeling.
An hour or so with Sue Perkins sees the comedian chatting with engaging guests, such as Stewart Lee and Armando Iannucci, to interact in a smart, outdated conversation, as she describes it. Relaxing and informative.
