The 2025 Buick Enclave receives a redesign that makes it bigger than before and embraces the new face of the brand, through the Wildcat concept.
The three-row midsize SUV also benefits from a sleeker cabin with a 30-inch curved display; It’s also the first Buick to offer GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system.
Each Enclave replaces the aging 310-horsepower 3. 6-liter V6 with a new 328-horsepower 2. 5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a front- or all-wheel-drive system.
With the redesigned 2025 Buick Enclave, the logo has finished its transformation into a new era of design. What started with the Wildcat EV concept just two years ago has now proliferated in Buick’s showroom, with the sleekly styled coupe inspiring the look of the entire model. SUV lineup, from the subcompact Encore GX and family-style Envista to the compact Envision and now the new Enclave.
The Buick Enclave is the corporate cousin of the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia, which have also just entered the new generations. GM’s trio of three-row midsize SUVs share a platform and mechanical elements, but have an upscale look and feel. Buick is aimed at a clientele that’s a step below the absolute luxury of Cadillac, especially its sleek Avenir trim.
For 2025, the Enclave’s trim levels were revised to include Preferred, Sport Touring (ST) and Avenir models. They’re all taller, wider and taller than their predecessors, but with the same 120. 9-inch wheelbase. Each model has a unique grille and wheel options, with the default wheel length expanding from 18 inches to 20 inches on the Preferred and ST and 20 to 22 inches on the Avenir.
Each Enclave takes on a squarer silhouette. A popular new feature is a liftgate with automatic force detection. This means you no longer have to put your foot awkwardly under the rear bumper. Just walk to the back of the SUV and wait 3 beeps before the hatch opens. Buick’s new three-shield logo now appears on the front edge of the hood and not on the grille. The Enclave also benefits from full-width taillights. In the Avenir, all external lighting plays a welcome animation for theatrical effect.
The Enclave ST (pictured above) offers a sportier look, with black frame trim and other matching elements that contrast with the Avenir’s exterior finish and glossy wheels. Like each and every model, there’s a turbocharged 2. 5-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood. which develops 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. Your maximum towing capacity remains at 5,000 pounds with the towing package.
The Enclave’s new engine replaces the aging 3. 6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower. The previous nine-speed automatic transmission was replaced by an eight-speed unit. You can still have front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive on each and every model. , however, only the Avenir comes with adaptive dampers. Buick has yet to release fuel economy ratings, however, the new powertrain is expected to reach the maximum combined 21 mpg of the outgoing version.
Was the interior of the Buick Enclave comfortable before, but stylish?Not so much. This is being transformed as design, materials, and technological features take a big step forward. Adjustable interior ambient lighting is now standard and the old push-button shifter has migrated from the centre console to a joystick on the guide column. We also like the Avenir’s attractive interior color options, which come with an adorable blue option on the tops of the doors and dashboard, as well as the three-spoke steering wheel.
Still, the centerpiece of the interior is the new 30-inch curved display on the dashboard that combines the customizable gauge cluster and infotainment system. The latter uses Google’s built-in module that supplies maps, a voice assistant, and an app store with Amazon Alexa. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. We also like the static touch controls towards the centre of the screen that can be customised.
In addition to a wireless charging pad in the floating center console, a 12-speaker Bose stereo is popular on Enclave Preferred and ST. Moving to the Avenir brings a more complicated 16-speaker Bose system. The more sensible trim also includes the most productive front seats, each with heated, ventilated and massaged pads; A panoramic sunroof and heated second-row seats are also popular. The Avenir also comes with a head-up display and power-folding second- and third-row seats, all available on the bottom two trims with the Power package.
A full suite of driver-assistive features can be found in each and every 2025 Buick Enclave. New additions to the roster include automated emergency braking at intersections, guidance intervention that assists with blind spots, traffic sign recognition, and lane-keeping assist. there are also seven external camera views, which increase to 8 with the Tow Package and nine with the optional Super Cruise. This is GM’s hands-free driving formula making its Buick debut at the Enclave; It is available in all 3 trim levels.
Buick has yet to release pricing for the 2025 Enclave. However, we expect the adjustment to see a price increase of over $3,000, suggesting that the Preferred will start at around $49,000, the ST will open at around $56,000, and the Avenir will be close to the $62,000 mark when the lineup continues.
