The BMW X7 receives a special edition called The Dark Shadow Edition. Seems… to a shadow, so the call works. BMW used the M50i style as a base, which is the fastest and most maneuverable X7 in the small group.
This M Sport style comes with the advanced 4.4-liter twin-engine V8 with 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It is also supplied with the M Sport differential, M Sport brakes, M adaptive suspension and M Sport exhaust. All of them are provided as in the M50i, however, the Dark Shadow edition adds a lot of extras in appearance.
Start with BMW Individual Frozen Arctic Grey paint with a matte finish. Then the extended Shadowline organization is added, making sure that all the ingredients are sufficiently blackened. Even the exhaust tips are finished in black chrome. BMW then adapts 22-inch matte black wheels that complement the paint. The only color parts on the outside are the M badges and M Sport brakes. That’s a smart overview.
Inside, BMW added a touch of dark color. Instead of an all-black interior, it has BMW Individual midnight blue/bicolor black. You’ll notice the dark blue leather on the seats, the most sensitive of the dashboard and doors. The crown molding is also covered with blue Alcantara. A Dark Shadow Edition badge is placed on the lid of the cup holder, which is covered with BMW Individual Piano Black. All upper interior moldings are made of BMW Individual Fineline wood with ornamental aluminum inserts.
BMW says it will build a total of six hundred Dark Shadow editions, but only 75 are assigned to the United States. If you need one, BMW says you can book it online with a $1,000 refundable deposit. You can specify this in a six- or seven-seat configuration. The total value requested is $120490, which makes it as expensive as an X7. You can click on this link here.
