Toyota has quietly updated the sportier edition of the Innova Crysta, the Touring Sport, which was presented in May 2017. Let’s go through and take a look at the really extensive minivan settings, okay?

Starting with mechanical improvements, the 2.4-liter Diesel Touring Sport now has a 6-speed hand transmission borrowed from the Fortuner. However, the Innova Crysta VX 2.4 MT, on which the Touring Sport is based, continues to introduce the 5-speed manual transmission coupled to the same engine. Other variants of the Touring Sport: 2.8-litre diesel (6-speed manual) and 2.7-litre petrol (5-speed manual/6-speed automatic) remain unchanged.

The Touring Sport diversity now receives 17-inch alloy wheels, which have also been reintroduced to the popular Innova Crysta. It also has fog LED lighting fixtures and an info and entertainment unit with a popular navigation formula. Touring Sport’s diesel variants now gain advantages from an automatic start/stop formula to fuel efficiency as well.

With the latest updates, it turns out that Toyota is looking to offset the accumulated value after the build-up of GST for luxury cars and midsize SUVs. To put things in perspective, the 2.4-litre Diesel Touring Sport manual variant now costs Rs 19.60 lakh compared to Rs 18.91 lakh (anything goes outside the New Delhi showroom) when it was introduced 4 months ago.
