Thailand will star in HBO’s season of The White Lotus

Thailand to be prominent set for HBO’s The White Lotus season 3, filming in Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui in Partnership with TAT to showcase culture and beauty of Thailand. Premiering in 2025.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed that Thailand will be the prominent set for HBO’s Emmy-winning anthology series, The White Lotus, season 3. Filming is set to commence in February in Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui. Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, expressed the honor of featuring Thailand as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season.

He highlighted the kingdom’s exotic herbal beauty, ancient sites and varied landscapes as the best setting to showcase the country’s Thai culture, cuisine, wellness offerings and hospitality.

The first two seasons were filmed at two Four Seasons hotels: the Four Seasons Resort Maui in Wailea and the San Domenico Palace, Taormina. The third season is also expected to be set in one or more Thai homes of the luxury group. The group owns 4 homes in Thailand: a riverside retreat in Bangkok; a hotel in the middle of Chiang Mai’s rice paddies; a tented camp in northern Thailand and a stunning hotel on the island of Koh Samui.

TAT has partnered with HBO for the filming and promotion of season 3 of The White Lotus in Thailand, which will feature notable actors such as two Thai actors, Dom Hetrakul and Tayme Thapthimthong. Janet Graham Borba, executive vice president of production at HBO

Created through Mike White, The White Lotus debuted in 2021, was set in Hawaii, and won Emmy nominations and awards. Season 3, set in Thailand, will premiere on HBO in 2025, following the good luck of the first two seasons. set in Hawaii and Sicily, respectively. The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards are also slated to celebrate the show’s good fortunes.
