What happened: While Tesla dominates the sales chart for the electric car year compared to Rivian, the smaller EV corporation would possibly have something new to boast about.
Tech reviewer and content creator MKBHD shared a video with his millions of followers on Instagram announcing he had sold the Cybertruck he bought back in April.
The post has generated a lot of comments from Tesla enthusiasts and others in the EV communities on social media, MKBHD answers several questions about the sale.
“I like the Rivian better,” MKBHD told a user on X, suggesting a preference for the R1T in the electric pickup truck market.
Benzinga contacted MKBHD to comment and deepen the reasons for his sale, but obtained an answer.
MKBHD also downplayed the importance of the complex as the FSD in Tesla cars when reviewing EV purchases.
“We all know that the FSD is greater than that of Rivian, but other people on this site act as if it were the acquisition thing No. 1 for other people when it is not the case. “
One X user criticized MKBHD for being a “late convert to the Cybertruck.”
MKBHD challenged the complaint, saying that he is one of the first other people to review Cybertruck and was warm up not being “severe enough” in his review.
The tech reviewer said he drove less than 5,000 miles in the Cybertruck, dispelling the hypothesis of one user who has avoided buying new tires after traveling 20,000 miles in the Tesla.

Why it matters: MKBHD reviews have a staple in the generation sector, adding electric vehicles.
MKBHD’s negative complaints for Ocean Fisker and Pin Humane AI, which generated a “the worst” and “the worst product that I have ever examined” respectively, the sales of corporate injured and their future were attributed to them.
A report from Torque News estimates MKBHD may have lost around $50,000 selling the Cybertruck foundation series model with a matte black wrap based on current resale prices.
This may recommend that MKBHD be not a fan of safe characteristics or has been increasingly disappointed with the procedure of making changes.
The tech reviewer also suggests that customers may be making the switch from Tesla to Rivian like he did.
“Housing owners who know who the industry in their X for R1 likes to have a genuine SUV for their families. SDF is not a fear for them. Tesla wasted not to make a genuine SUV in 2025,” MKBHD tweeted.
MKBHD added that Tesla “could crush” with a 3 -row SUV for the R1.
