“This is great news not only for Austin but for the entire region and in addition to the 5,000 jobs Tesla will create, we estimate that the innovation that brings this resolution to Austin will create another 4,000 jobs,” the House CEO said. Laura Huffman.
These jobs reach an era of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which Huffman calls “the most productive news we could have.”

If it turns out this plant in Austin happened quickly, it’s because it happened. Travillion says the county had to act quickly, in a different way, it may have ended up in another state.
“It was a long and complicated discussion because Tesla sought a resolution that would be taken quickly. We sensed that Tulsa and Nashville made all sorts of promises to them,” Travillion said.
Elon Musk says Tesla’s long-term plant in central Texas will be an ecological paradise.
