A Tesla Cybertruck has been seized after being illegally in Greater Manchester.
Officials from the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have arrested a permanent resident of the United Kingdom in Whitefield, Bury, after he was seen driving the electric vehicle.
The Cybertruck is illegal to drive in the UK and has been registered and insured overseas.
Bury police said: “The motive force is a permanent resident of the UK, however the vehicle searched and secured the alien, which is banned in the UK.
“The Tesla Cybertruck is legal in the UK and has a certificate of conformity.
“While it might seem trivial to some, there are valid considerations around protecting other road users or pedestrians if they were concerned about a collision with a cybertruck.
“The vehicle was seized under S165 of the Road Traffic Act and the force of motive reported. “
The vehicle is understood to have referred to Operation Wolverine, which he created in 2007 to target uninsured drivers.
The force of motives will now have to produce the right type of property and insurance before releasing it.
However, even if they get it back, they couldn’t possibly drive it on UK roads.

At 5. 6m, the CyberTruck is longer than a Range Rover, which is just over 5m long.
It was launched via Tesla in 2023 after first being unveiled as a prototype in 2019.
At the end of last year, Tesla remembered only about 700,000 cybertrucks in the US
