SUDBURY, MA – Sudbury police arrested a 17-year-old on Thursday morning after the youngster crashed a stolen BMW at Hop Brook Waterway along Highway 20, chief Scott Nix.
The incident began around 5 a. m. when a Subdury officer saw a car traveling on Highway 20 and lost sight of the car. Soon after, police won a 911 call about a car on the road near Station Road. When the officers got to the car, it was empty.
The teenager had left the scene of the accident and then tried to borrow a car from a space along Concord Road, police said. A K9 helped police locate and arrest the teen on charges, adding theft of a motor vehicle.
Police said the car was stolen from Herb Chambers BMW dealership in Sudbury. The Herb Chambers Lamborghini dealership adjacent to Wayland, the site of a major car theft earlier this year.
