The upcoming 5-door edition of Suzuki Jimny may not be out of the Japanese rendezvous line yet, but it has piqued interest from the automaker’s home country, at least.
In the past, the Japanese online page Bestcarweb showed what the 5-door edition of the Suzuki Jimny would look like [Image: bestcarweb]
Japanese automotive online site Bestcarweb learned of the latest leaked symbol of the extended SUV, which was reportedly taken for a TV ad in India. The site notes that the photo of the last Jimny in the wild is none other than the CG Representation he produced earlier.
While the Bestcarweb rendering shows the vehicle from a front angle with the fairing and frame cover of the Jimny, the symbol of India shows the angle of the 5-door Jimny’s rear quarter. However, it would not be an exaggeration to assume that there are no main differences in ordering.
The real difference is that the bestcarweb symbol uses a contrasting black roof, while the leaked Indian images show the ceiling in the color of the frame. Windows at the back doors.

According to data received through the site, the 5-door Jimny will measure 3,850 mm long, 1,645 mm wide and 1,730 mm high over a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. Without prejudice to the increased rear space, all other attributes discovered in the 3-door model, such as the side-opening tailgate with the spare wheel, will be retained.
The strength of the hood will still come in the form of a 1. 5-liter gasoline engine that is powered by a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic transmission. AllGrip Pro all-wheel drive would be standard. However, there are rumors that the longer Jimny will also have a hybrid powertrain for the Japanese market.
The extended Jimny will be in the export edition of the existing 3-door model
The 5-door Suzuki Jimny will first be manufactured in Guragaon, India, where the style is expected to make its world premiere on January 13, 2023. Japanese production at the Kosai plant in Shizuoka Prefecture could arrive in the final months of 2023, with an estimated value of 2. 3 billion yen (about 960,000 Php).
