SUV on Lake Hennessey Napa County

No one inside a pickup truck heard about it Wednesday afternoon in Lake Hennessey, authorities confirmed.

Fire crews from Napa County, the California Highway Patrol and the Napa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the lake, southeast of St. Helena, after a report of a vehicle in the water, CHP spokesperson said -Napa, Marc Renspurger.

The county Fire and Rescue team searched the water but found no one in the submerged Dodge pickup truck, said Napa County Deputy Fire Chief Erick Hernandez.

The vehicle was towed out of the lake.

Authorities don’t know why the truck is in the water, Hernandez added.

Sage Canyon Road, from Silverado Trail to Chiles Pope Valley Road, which runs the entire road along the lake, closed from approximately 1:45 p. m. until a while before 3 p. m. while the crews responded.
