CARLYLE LAKE – Lake Carlyle offers a variety of hunting opportunities last summer. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers And the Illinois Department of Natural Resources paintings in combination to manage land and public waters at Carlyle Lake. More than 10,000 acres of public land are open to public hunting for which existing Illinois gaming laws and regulations are in effect. All hunters must log in and log out daily and register the crop in the nearest hunter’s login box. Access spaces are preferably located around the lake to provide parking and access to public land. Several plots of wildlife food have been planted around the lake. The plots consist of crops, adding sunflower, maize and other in-line crops.
The squirrel season begins on August 1, 2020; Shooting hours diversity from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset. Baggage restriction is five and property restriction is 10, you cannot have more than double baggage restriction. All public lands around the lake are open to hunting, with the exception of evolved recreation spaces and a 100-yard buffer zone around recreation spaces and other designated spaces marked “CHASSE PAS”. Shotguns and the 22-shotgun matrix are allowed on public lands of the Corps of Engineers to hunt squirrels.
The pigeon season begins on September 1, 2020. From September 1st to September 5th, the shooting schedule begins at 12:00 p.m. until sunset. From 6 September, the shooting hours are different from sunrise to sunset. The daily limit is 15 and the property limit is 45. Areas that will be available for pigeon hunting on September 1st include: access to pigeons, access to the unhappy pigeon, access to Massassauga and access to Elmwood. The pigeon hunt at Lotus in the Coles Creek Recreation Area will open on Tuesday, September 8. Hours of filming diversity from sunrise to sunset. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources also offers pigeon hunting opportunities at Eldon Hazlet State Park and the Carlyle Lake State Wildlife and Fisheries Management Area; Steel pellets are required for pigeon hunting at Eldon Hazlet State Park.
On September 1 and 2, a pigeon hunt for athletes with disabilities will take up position at Steins Access. Hunters must call the Carlyle Lake Project Office until August 21 to register. This domain will be open to the general public on September 3.
