A new housing subdivision was planned Tuesday for a domain just south of the Webster County Fairgrounds complex.
The County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the initial plan for the domain near Old Route 169 and 230th Street. An initial plan is a type of drawing that shows where streets will be.
The initial plan calls for a street that ends from the old Highway 169 and will end in a cul-de-sac. There will be 14 houses along this street. The total domain is approximately 8 acres.
The new residential domain would take advantage of the City of Fort Dodge’s sewer and sewer service.
The Site is owned by DBJG Properties LLC.
Construction of the road is expected to begin this spring and the framing of the houses this summer.
Also Tuesday, the council gave final approval to a plan that would allow planners and the zoning administrator to grant variances for minor deviations from the zoning code. Under the measure, the administrator can simply approve those deviations if they are “less than 10% of the qualified dimensional standard, or five feet, whichever is less. “
