Subaru made a wonder in the Auto Tokyo Hall with a new special edition of the WRX. The limited production S210 is described as the “Pinacle of Sti integer cars”, with performance, chassis and style innovations in the model.

The current generation of the Subaru WRX never got a full-blown STI derivative, but Subaru kept us entertained with special editions tuned by STI. The same applies to the S210, which is based on the Subaru WRX S4 STI Sport R EX but features a number of changes inspired by the WRX NBR Challenge race car that competes at the Nurburgring 24-Hour Race.
More power, without emotion
The big news is the powertrain – the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder boxer engine generates 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS), which represents and increase of 25 hp (19 kW) compared to the rest of the WRX lineup. The power boost was achieved thanks to a new intake system, a pre-turbo duct, an exhaust with a low-back pressure muffler, and a revised ECU. Torque remains stable at 375 Nm (276.6 lb-ft), but offers a more linear response.
The power is sent to 4 wheels exclusively an automatic gearbox, called subaru performance transmission. According to the automobile manufacturer, the updated CVT edition improves driving emotion through “adjusting the change characteristics to fit the engine and driving force. “
Chassis updates come with electronic surprise absorbents readjusted through ZF, reviewed helical springs and rear stabilizer rings. The braking force has also been made thanks to the perforated and ventilated discs on the 4 wheels, the Brembo Brembo Brembo brake pads and the brake tweezers in the front.
Sharper Aero, New Seats
The new style rises in a new STI functionality wheels 19 inches of BBS, which are installed in more sticky Michelin tires (255 / 35r19). In addition to S210 badges, it also has larger aerodynamic components.
Aggressive with a purpose
If functionality innovations catch your eye, the S210 aero kit will. A large dry carbon rear wing is proud at the rear, complemented by a front divider, carved-looking skirts and a pronounced rear diffuser, all finished with black crystal silica. A red strip of cherry on the grille adds a touch of drama, while the S210 badges and ET markings remind everyone that it’s your average WRX.
Inside, the culmination is the upward seats through motoring, with carbon files, Nappa leather filling and 8 -way feeding settings. The black theme is combined with red accents, ITS brands and a S210 plate.
Limited numbers, giant questions The WRX STI S210 sub -rods will occur in a limited number of 500 sets. The main specific points about their availability will be announced in the spring of 2025. At the moment, it is transparent if the special edition will be exclusive to Japan or if the safe sets will be assigned to other markets.
