CAMDEN, N. J. , Jan. 19, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Subaru Motorsports USA is preparing for the start of the 2024 American Rally Association (ARA) championship season next month. With two new rally cars, a full eight-round schedule, and extreme sports icon Travis Pastrana at the wheel of the 199 car, the season promises to be exciting.

Driver Brandon Semenuk returns with co-driver Keaton Williams in the 180 car for the 2024 ARA season after winning a second consecutive championship with a best start in 2023, capped off with the debut of the new WRX rally car. Pastrana returns to ARA action with co-driver Rhianon Gelsomino and the Subaru Motorsports USA team after winning the 2017 and 2021 ARA championships.

The thrill of the matching matte blue Subaru Motorsports WRX cars battling through the levels of the 2024 ARA Rally will only be matched by comparing Pastrana’s aggressive, no-prisoners taste to Semenuk’s technical and precise technique as the season progresses. Added to this is the team’s open-air festival, which is also intensifying: new drivers and cars are expected to compete at each and every level of the 2024 ARA Championship.

As always, those stages will stretch across the United States, taking riders from asphalt to dirt, dirt, dust and everything in between throughout the season. The ARA 2024 calendar is different this year, with the addition of the Overmountain Rally Tennessee. in September. Formerly known as the Bristol Forest Rally, race organizers are seeing their efforts to integrate the rally into the national championship bear fruit this year.

However, there are plenty of rallies that will be held before Tennessee in September. The first occasion for drivers and groups will be the Sno*Drift Rally in Michigan from February 9-10. The only truly wintry rally on the ARA calendar, Sno* Drift is a great season-opening opportunity before moving on to the fast and tough course of the 100 Acre Wood Rally in March in Missouri. From there, the teams head west to tackle the unpredictable situations of Olympus Forest Rally in Washington. Driver Quotes

Pastrana: “I have the same co-driver and team from our last championship in 2021 but we have a new WRX that is sure to provide some extra speed. A few new rallies in the championship to look forward to and a rival/teammate that took the number one plate from me… Game On. This year is going to be a lot of fun.”

Semenuk: “It’s wonderful to have Travis back in the league! Not only is it more fun to have a teammate, but I also enjoyed the days of talking to him. It’s the kind of race I have ahead of me, and two groups. It means faster growth and improvement, and an even more wonderful display for the fans!”
