Special assemblies for students were held and organized after two teenagers were killed in a twist of fate involving an electric bike and four cars earlier this week.

Marcus Beck, 17, and a 16-year-old boy, named in reports as Gregor Booth, died at around 8pm on Monday after worrying about the turn of fate on the A941 Lossiemouth-Elgin road in Moray.

Family members of the 16-year-old have asked that his privacy be respected.

The children were passengers on a Sur-ron Light Bee-X electric bike that drove through a 14-year-old boy who was taken to Dr. Gray Hospital in Elgin with serious injuries. He remains hospitalized and is said to be in good condition.

In a statement, Moray City Council presented it to the children’s families and schoolmates.

A spokesperson said: “Right now we are thinking a lot about the families of the young people who lost their lives.

“Our educational psychology team and school chaplains have supported the affected students through this difficult time.

“Special assemblies have been held and guidance and staff will be provided to students and staff as the entire school network is slow to come to terms with this tragic news.

“We have a path in place to offer it and we will continue to offer it to those affected. “

Fate also affected a blue Vauxhall Mokka, a red Renault Clio, a black Vauxhall Corsa and a white VW Golf.

The driver of the Mokka, a 54-year-old man, was taken to Dr. Gray’s home for treatment and later released.

Police are looking for information and have learned of images circulating on social media that appear to show children on the e-bike.

Police have asked for details about the video or who filmed it to contact police, as this could facilitate the investigation.

Moray Council and Police Scotland are working in combination to ensure the protection of the public when they go to the twist of fate to lay flowers.

Police moved the tributes to a motorcycle lane next to the crossing.

Sergeant Iain Nicholson said: “Our thorough investigations into the twist of fate cases are ongoing and we are keen to hear data on video that appears to show the e-bike and its riders at an earlier time.

“We understand that this incident has been incredibly traumatic, not only for the families and friends of those involved, but also for the network as a whole.

“People will have to pay their respects and we respectfully ask anyone visiting the site to please park in a spot away from the junction for everyone’s safety, or to reach the domain via the bike lane. “

Anyone who can should contact Police Scotland on 101, citing incident number 3247 on Monday, March 25, 2024.
