State opens a loose COVID-19 test at Disney World

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Florida – The state of Florida opens a COVID-19 check on Disney World property.

The site, which opens Friday, is located in Kissimmee at the Disney Maingate resort near Disney’s Animal Kingdom and will be controlled through the Florida Emergency Management Division.

On Wednesday, Disney World said it was providing the site to “help with network testing.”

Free trials will be available to the general public, as well as Disney World cast members (what Disney calls its employees) and the immediate circle of family members. Hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.

They will use self-hyspo tests to take samples, which will allow others to stay in their cars. Officials said there would be a separate lane for Disney cast members.

Members of the general public can register for testing at doineedacovid19test.com. Disney World members can register on the website disneycovid19.com.

Those who are checked will be informed of the effects within 3 days of receipt of laboratory control.
