St. Cloud Passes Resolutions for Avivo Homeless Shelter

STREET. CLOUD (WJON News) — After a lengthy public hearing, the St. Louis City Council has announced that the City Council of St. Petersburg has been held in a statement. John’s has to announce that the St. John’s. Cloud City Council has passed two resolutions paving the way for a new homeless shelter in St. John’s. John’s. Cloud.

Despite opposition from many businesses to the location, the council passed Resolution 5-2 on leasing and Resolution 6-1 on housing fund allocation.

The first solution allows the city to enter into a long-term lease on city-owned assets so that Avivo can build a transitional shelter with 56 units. The one-acre segment of land is in the northeast corner of the assets at 3100 1st. South Street.

The lease has a market price of $39,200 per year for 20 years and with an extension for 10 years.

The solution currently authorizes the use of the affordable housing budget across the state. The statewide program was created in the 2023 legislative consultation to provide moving dollars to be distributed across major cities and counties for affordable housing projects. Settlement Awards $750,000 for Avivo Village Citywide St. Louis. John’s cloud.

In the past, the council had awarded the $232,000 allocation from the federal Community Development Block Grant program.

The estimated cost of construction of the facility is $9,000,000, $7,650,000 from the State of Minnesota.
