A driver has been arrested after a crazy police chase ended in South Los Angeles. The driver of a stolen vehicle crashed into several cars before fleeing.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The suspect in a suspected stolen vehicle has been arrested after a wild chase in South Los Angeles.
The driver, in a bright purple Dodge Charger, was driving at top speed on cross streets, driving sideways to the road and going through several warning signs.
SkyFOX caught the suspect by striking a parked vehicle while making a U-turn. He then went through patrol cars and, in an attempt to escape, the suspect made his way onto the sidewalk and lawn of a home.
The chase ended when the vehicle was caught between a garbage truck and a parked car. But that didn’t stop the driver. He escaped through the driver’s side window and fled on foot. He ran through a construction site but was temporarily met by police officers and taken into custody.
