The 104th race of the Indianapolis 500 ended with a yellow flag after a terrible twist of fate involving IndyCar Spencer Pigot’s driving force.
Pigot Rahal Letterman Lanigan Lanigan Racing The Honda No. Forty-five Citrone/Buhl Autosport let loose on turn four and hit the wall before coming into contact with the pit street at the attenuation barrier.
Pigot awake and alert, but visibly agitated before being taken to the hospital for evaluation.

At 10:10 p.m. On Sunday night, Alex Damron, vice president of corporate communications at IndyCar, released an update: “Spencer Pigot tested and fired doctors at Methodist Hospital.
A few minutes later, Pigot tweeted a smile, his thumbs up after his release.
“I came home after a long day. Thanks to the @indycar_safety team and @IU_Health for taking care of me. I feel bad for the team of @HyVee 45, but congratulations to my teammate @TakumaSatoRacer for this win,” Pigot said.
