The U.S. Space Force unveiled its official slogan and logo on Wednesday, July 22, as well as the eye-catching insignia.
On January 24 of this year, a symbol was revealed that many others believed to be the U.S. Space Force logo. However, it turned out that this design is really the hallmark of the new branch of the army, not the logo. But on Wednesday, the branch released the official logo, the motto of the U.S. Space Force, and the meaning of the logo design (and not, despite its Delta form, is not animated through “Star Trek”).
Starting with the official motto: Space Force now operates under the words “Semper Supra”, which means “always up” in Latin. This motto, as the military branch on Twitter explained, “represents our role in establishing, maintaining, and preserving America’s freedom of operations in space.”

The logo is a Delta symbol.
“First used in 1961, the Delta honors the legacy of the USAF [United States Air Force] and Space Command,” an infographic published through the United States Space Force said in a statement.
The Delta symbol has a silver outer edge that, as the infographic describes it, “means defense and coverage of all adversaries and threats emanating from the area field.” Only the positive side is a black inner border and an inner region, which “embodies the vast darkness of the deep area”.
The internal design of the logo consists of 4 silver beveled elements that “symbolize the joint armed forces that support the area’s missions: Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines”.
The two sharp arrowheads that line the inside of the logo “represent the action of a rocket launching into the outer environment for the central role of the Space Force in the defense of space.”
Finally, he explained the branch of the army, “in the middle of the delta is the star Polaris, which symbolizes the basic values of the mission consultant of the force of the area”.
The Space Force was officially established in December 2019. It is the first new branch of the U.S. military to be established since the Air Force took off in 1947.
