Smash Mouth plays with a crowd accumulated and unmasked at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The Smash Mouth concert in Sturgis, South Dakota, was not a resounding success.

The rock band faced negative reactions after betting on thousands of motorcyclists at the busy Sturgis motorcycle rally on Sunday as coronavirus cases continue in the United States.

“We’re all here tonight,” said lead singer Steve Harwell of the Buffalo Chip concert series. “(Vis) this COVID (swear)”.

Social media footage from South Dakota news station KOTATV showed the largely maskless crowd applauding Harwell’s anti-ronavirus as it accumulated at the level ignoring CDC social estrangement patterns.

USA TODAY reached out to Smash Mouth for comment.

”Absolutely irresponsible’: Chainsmokers face a violent drive-in

More than 250,000 people are expected to attend the 10-day Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, making it one of the most significant occasions to take positions since the pandemic rocked the entertainment industry in March. The event, which attracted around a million participants in recent years, has earned a reputation as an all-in-one festival.

Motorcyclists who flocked to the small town of South Dakota were not subject to quarantine needs, even though they came here from a coronavirus hot spot. What about the masks? They are encouraged, not mandatory.

“Signs will be placed at all access ports and collection spaces to remind visitors to remain socially distant, encouraging the use of masks and explaining CDC recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” reads on the event’s online page.

Smash Mouth’s resolve to appear on The Cover has been described as “irresponsible” by some fans.

“Totally irresponsible how they contributed to chaos and guess who pays for it. all. of. us,” tweeted @Orange_Geee.

The user @KevinLyman added: “This is yet more explanation of why we won’t see more short-term or long-term transmissions, or in the long run if this continues. Restores the total business every time. Every time this happens, it spoils things for those who need to do things right.”

Other Twitters have referred to the band’s success “All Star” in their 1999 reviews.

“Well, the mouth said well, “Someone once told me that the aggregate is going to roll me, I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed,” @RealPattyWap wrote.” The tweet is written on its own.”

Chase Rice: Kelsea Ballerini calls them to give a packed concert

Smash Mouth is the newest band to be criticized for performing in a show, following the Chainsmokers and country music star Chase Rice.

On Monday, there are more than five million cases of COVID-19 in the United States, according to USA TODAY’s coronavirus map. At least 163,000 more people in the United States have died.
