ChatGPT will be incorporated with the Skoda Laura voice assistant into Skoda vehicle models on its MEB GP and MQB EVO platforms. This new feature works through Cerence Chat Pro, which will bring ChatGPT to cars.
The new chatbot will be introduced with the latest generation of infotainment systems from mid-2024. It will be available in the following models based on the MEB GP and MQB EVO platforms: decided versions of the Škoda Enyaq, the next-generation Škoda Superb and Kodiaq and the updated Škoda Octavia. Thanks to Cerence Chat Pro, the integration of ChatGPT into Laura’s voice assistant introduces a variety of new features that go far beyond previous voice commands. Laura’s voice assistant can be used, for example, to control infotainment, navigation and weather control and answer general wisdom questions. In the future, AI will provide more insights in answer to questions that go beyond this as part of its ever-evolving capabilities. This can come in handy on a road trip: Enrich conversations, explain questions, interact in intuitive language, get vehicle-specific data, and much more – absolutely hands-free for greater protection of drivers and passengers.
