Although Skoda has brought a wide diversity of its global models to India, it has not set foot in the emerging EV space. Well, it is possible that in 2024 it will be replaced with the Skoda Enyaq iV, which the automaker is very likely to sell. as CBU (Fully Built Unit) offering. By the way, we once left the Skoda EV that was being tested on our roads again, without any camouflage!

The smudged style ended up in the white external paint option and wasn’t covered with any camouflage. It also featured aero-specific alloy wheels designed in particular for its all-electric nature. Other key design points that were noticed are the coupe-like roofline and sleek LED taillights. .

While we couldn’t catch a glimpse of the Enyaq’s interior, the model sold globally has a minimalistic layout and gets multiple themes depending on the variant chosen. Features on offer on the electric crossover include a heads-up display, a digital driver’s display, and a 13-inch infotainment unit.

In terms of protective technology, we expect the Enyaq to come with nine airbags, a 360-degree camera, and some complex motive force assistance (ADAS) systems.

The precise highlights of the battery and electric motor featured on the Indian-spec Enyaq are yet to be released. Internationally, the Enyaq iV comes with 3 battery options: 52 kWh, 58 kWh and 77 kWh. While the smaller 52 kWh and 58 kWh batteries are combined with rear-wheel drive; the latter can be equipped with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The largest battery, 77 kWh, has a range of up to 510 km.

We expect the Skoda Enyaq iV to be unveiled in India until September 2024. Its value can be around 60 lakh rupees (not including the showroom). The Skoda EV will compete with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and BMW i4.
