PRAGUE (Reuters) – Skoda Auto, Volkswagen’s Czech unit, expects its parent organization to make a ruling on the location of a giant battery factory planned for Eastern Europe until the end of the year, Skoda Chief Executive Klaus Zellmer said on Monday.
“If all goes well, we may see the first partnership of companies, ending the formal partnership of our government within the VW Group, until the end of this year,” he told a German-Czech economic forum in Prague.
“I believe, and hope, that everyone in the Czech Republic will join us in the fight for this ultimate piece of the puzzle to transform this ultimate industry. “
