Six for Redwood Area School District School Board positions

There are 3 seats available on the Redwood Area School Board that will be after the outcome of the November 3, 2020 general election.

Each of these positions is for a four-year period with the school board and, from the end of the delivery window at 5:00 p.m. On August 11, the names of six Americans who had filed an affidavit for one of these posts were indexed at the Minnesota Secretary of State office.

The list includes current board-elect Darin Prescott board member of Morton, current board member JoDee Altmann of Redwood Falls and 4 others, David Allex of Redwood Falls, Mark Dressen of Redwood Falls, Andrew Lueck of Renville and Matthew Tiffany of Redwood Falls.

A special election is also being held for a position on the Redwood Area School District School Board that will expire in January 2022. When the presentation window was closed, no one had deposited to occupy that seat.

In addition to the school board, there are 3 vacancies at Redwood Falls City Council, and when the filing window was closed, John Buckley was the only one to apply for the board member position at headquarters.

One person, Matthew Smith, applied for the headquarters of the public council in District 2, and three others requested the seat available in District 1.

They come with Denise Kerkhoff, Jena Beller-Schmidt and Denise Castle, recently appointed to the board.
