REHOBOTH BEACH, Delaware—A serious car turn of destiny at Rehoboth Beach ended with the fifth DUI of one type of Maryland and some other felony charge.
Just after the afternoon. On Wednesday, Delaware State Police responded to Northbound State Route 1 north of Glade Road to report the collision.
Police said the investigation showed that a 2019 Toyota Rav4 driven through a 61-year-old man from Rehoboth Beach was traveling north along the coastal road in the left lane north of Holland Glade Road, while a 2016 Volkswagen Passat traveled on the Rav4.
Police said Passat driver William Williams, 49, of Edgewood, Maryland, saw the Toyota in front of him and struck him.
After impact, the Toyota left the west side of the lanes northbound through the mid-grass and southbound lanes before leaving the west side of the rails southbound, where it came here to rest after colliding with a concrete side sidewalk, police said.
The Rav4’s driving force suffered serious injuries and flew by helicopter to a domain hospital, according to the DSP’s recent press release.
The front passenger of the Rav4, a 59-year-old man also from Rehoboth Beach, was transferred to a domain hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Williams, according to police, charged with:
Police reported no injuries to Williams, and the Maryland guy prosecuted in Peace Court No.3 and was transferred to the Sussex Correctional Facility on a $30,002 bail.
The destination turn closed traffic on State Route 1 for approximately 3 hours.
