The official production company of the anime adaptation of Sakamoto Days has announced that the series will air in January 2025.
Along with the release window, a new teaser promo video has been revealed. The video offers a glimpse of the members of Sakamoto Shoten, who are in the middle of the story, with Sakamoto Taro in the middle, as well as action scenes, which are some of the main central themes of the series.
Based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki, Sakamoto Days centers on mythical retired hitman Taro Sakamoto, who has since adapted to a quiet, worldly life as a family man. However, when former enemies and colleagues from his hitman days come to seek revenge, Sakamoto will have to use his exceptional fighting skills to protect his loved ones and defeat his opponents, while trying to maintain his façade.

Sakamato Days has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine, Weekly Shōnen Jump, since November 2020. As of November 2023, the manga had over a million copies in circulation.

The anime adaptation of Sakamoto Days is produced by TMS Entertainment. The series, based on the original paintings by Suzuki Yuto, is directed by Masaki Watanabe with a composition by Taku Kishimoto and character designer Hiroshi Moriyama.
