Rolls-Royce Specter Electric Coupe: the most luxurious car on the road

Not having to get your hands dirty at the fuel pump is just the first luxury of the Rolls-Royce Specter and a unique detail of this model, the automaker’s first bespoke all-electric model.

Its instant speed and power could take second place on the list of the most impressive things about this car, which is also one of the most unexpected and fun electric vehicles on the road. Its 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque give this car the feel of opulent shipping flying in space.

But speed and strength are elements of true luxury, as are attention to the smallest details, the finest fabrics and the most considered touches. The Specter does not disappoint; Despite being electric, this car is more of an electric-powered Rolls-Royce than an electric car with bespoke details.

When you think of a two-door coupe, you may think of something smaller; a Bentley Continental or a Mercedes-AMG SL 63. But at 18 feet long, the Spectre is not only larger than a typical coupe, it’s longer than most SUVs, a mandatory length to have compatibility with the ride quality and space expected from Rolls. -Royce drivers. But if Rolls-Royce wasn’t as considerate of the design, it might be hard to close them. Most Rolls-Royce models are designed for rear and rear passengers. In the Spectre, this is not so true. Although the back seat, bucket seats, climate controls, and other features make the seats comfortable, you still feel like you’re in the back seat of a two-door car.

Front passengers, however, probably won’t notice the lack of a giant rear seat. This cabin is as subtle and spacious as any Rolls-Royce, with plenty of leg and headroom and easy-to-access interior controls. But it’s the steering wheel that makes this car most special. The driving experience is spectacular, fast and silent. As with its gasoline models, Rolls-Royce provides the instant acceleration that its owners demand. However, the electric powertrain provides even more fun: B mode, a button on the gear selector, allows for maximum one-pedal driving. Wonderful for saving power and replenishing the battery while driving, it also provides a superior point of control as it slows the car when you let off the accelerator. This control eliminates some of the weighty feel of a car of this length and provides the driver with an additional sense of control over the idler wheel.

There’s one caveat, though: The length and shape of this car requires extra attention in blind spots, curbs, and tight parking spaces. When driving the Spectre, I had to be very careful to look around the front pillar blind spots and know where the front and rear corners are. However, I appreciated the rear wheel which gives this big car a much more agile feel.

I also had to think carefully about parking, opting for zones as I would with a giant SUV: further away in the parking lot, away from other cars just because of the space needed to open the doors. Luckily, the doors of the Spectre run into objects. Near the doors and opening up to them, other cars and the bushes that line my driveway. I can’t count on the other drivers to be as careful.

The thrill of owning a Rolls-Royce is putting your car into service as you would a chef’s kitchen or family portraits – opting for the curtains, colors, and completing the main things is just the beginning. For my test drive, I spent time on two models, each with non-unusual features but distinct personalities. The first was painted in Black Diamond and featured a Grace White, Pink Peony and Black leather interior. The moment featured the brand’s heroic colors, Chartreuse and Black Diamond, with a Chartreuse, Pink. Interior in Peony and Grace White. Both models also included upgraded polished wheels, custom audio formula and comprehensive powertrain assistance. When designing the Spectre, Rolls-Royce consciously thought about how to incorporate custom design and fine details into a giant two-door coupe. What the company didn’t want to do was invent an electric powertrain. The Spectre supplies its battery and engine formula with the BMW i7, a dual-motor model with a 102 kWh battery that can reach 80 percent in about 30 minutes with a quick DC evaluator.

For homeowners, however, the real luxury is charging the battery at home via a 240-volt two-point evaluator, which can be seamlessly installed by an electrician. Thanks to this, the Spectre can charge overnight, avoiding public charging stations. I tried to perform my check-up; The vehicle worked well at home, but when it needed to get out of range the most, it did so at a DC fast-charging station and traveled 75 miles in just 10 minutes.
