About an hour into our adventure through the skies, the G 63 4×4 Squared nonetheless flickered. As a corrugation climbed with the center and rear trunks interacting, the driver’s side front tire began to skid. I pressed the silver button on the leftmost differential to access the front locker. I felt a click, stepped on the accelerator, the front wheels got stuck in the dusty, slippery, rocky dirt, and the noisy SUV began to move forward as if the undulations didn’t exist. If this Mercedes hadn’t had a front trunk, perhaps it would have used its abundant strength to get through the situation, but that would have destroyed even more dirt.
