BORDULAC, N. D. — All cars containing dangerous fabrics were removed from the site where a CPKC exercise derailed near Bordulac on Friday, and operations at the railroad’s Carrington subdivision have resumed, according to a corporate spokesman.
The cars were safely removed on Sunday, spokesman Patrick Waldron said in an email reported through the Jamestown Sun; He also said that runway maintenance was complete and that the road reopened this morning (July 8).
The National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating the incident, said the incident affected 29 cars from an exercise that included two locomotives and 151 cars.
