Berlin/Frankfurt – Fiat Chrysler sites in Germany and Italy have been attacked through prosecutors in Frankfurt, and the Italian car manufacturer was dragged into the diesel emissions scandal.

“Fiat Chrysler confirms that several group offices in Europe have been visited through investigators as part of a request for assistance from magistrates in Germany,” the company said. “The corporation was promptly made available to public officials, providing their full cooperation.”

Prosecutors say more than 200,000 cars are affected in Germany.
