The University of Georgia is reportedly proving to be a potential touchdown spot for quarterback Jaden Rashada after deciding to access the move portal.
According to Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, resources have indicated that Georgia is “a place to go” when it comes to Rashada.
Rashada’s agent, Henry Organ of Disruptive Sports, told ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg on Thursday that his client will enter the moving portal after being at Arizona State as a freshman in 2023.
Last season, Rashada opened the year as ASU’s starter, but a knee injury held him out of just 4 games and he finished with 485 passing yards, 4 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.
Rashada was rated a 4-star prospect as well as the No. 44 rookie overall and No. 6 quarterback in his drafting grace through 247Sports.

Carson Beck is expected to return as UGA’s starting quarterback in 2024 after totaling 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions last season. Early indications suggest he could be a contender for the Heisman Trophy.
Given that Rashada still has 4 years of eligibility, sitting back and learning for a year as one of the most productive quarterbacks in school football would be a quality scenario for him.
And when it’s time to take the reins as a starter, he’ll do so in an elite program in Georgia that is brimming with top-notch skill and has gone 42-2 with two national championships in the past three seasons. .
As for the state of Arizona, they have just had 3-nine consecutive seasons and have played once in a bowling game in the last 4 seasons.
The 2023 campaign will be the first under head coach Kenny Dillingham after Herm Edwards was fired in early 2022.
While Rashada was injured, the Sun Devils struggled in 2023 to find a starting quarterback, going through Trenton Bourguet, Drew Pyne and Jacob Conover. As a team, ASU threw just 8 touchdown passes, compared to 14 interceptions.
The favorite to start with Arizona State in 2024 may be Michigan State move Sam Leavitt, who is a 4-star prospect and the No. 18 quarterback in the scouting class of 2023, according to 247Sports.
