Reinermann, former Fiat CEO, to lead Opel marketing

Rebecca Reinermann leaves Fiat/Abarth for Opel/Vauxhall, where she is most recently for regional operations in Germany, Austria and Poland.

Rebecca Reinermann of Fiat/Abarth has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer of Opel/Vauxhall. He will succeed Patrick Fourniol, who becomes director of marketing communications for Stellantis’ brands in Europe.

Reinerman takes up his new role on January 1, reporting to Florian Huettl, CEO of the Opel/Vauxhall brand. Most recently he has been in the regional operations of Fiat and Abarth in Germany, Austria and Poland, a position he has held since May 2021.

Reinermann has more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, with positions at Toyota, Hyundai and Fiat Chrysler in logo and product development, communications and visitor experience, Stellantis said in a news release Thursday.

Fourniol has been in the workplace since April 2020. In the past, he held senior positions at Toyota, Renault and the Volkswagen Group.

Opel/Vauxhall registrations in Europe fell 12 percent to 394,938 through November, according to the ACEA industrial agreement. Its market share is 3. 9%.
